Amino Acids Ahi Tuna Salad (Beauty-Food Recipe)

Sometimes, on back-to-back meeting days, I find myself starving and then over-snacking before, during, and after the meetings.

And me + mindless snacking + meetings = loads of calories!

Here’s a quick and delicious protein-packed salad that I whip up in minutes when I want low-calorie sustenance.

The surprising secret twist for this skin-loving salad is the shashimi-grade, low-mercury canned tuna.

AMINO ACIDS AHI TUNA SALAD RECIPE

Yield: 2 servings 

Time: 5 minutes 

Ingredients:

Handful arugula | anti-inflammatory antioxidants

Handful spinach | helps reduce breakouts

1 can Ahi Tuna | amino acids for smooth supple skin

2 T sliced olives | vitamin A and E to protect against free radicals

2 T hummus | manganese, molybdenum, folate, vitamin B to nourish and repair skin cells

1/2 small red onion, chopped

Fingerful parmesan

Drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Juice of 1/2 lemon | detoxes body for skin hydration


Directions:

  1. Place greens in large bowl.

  2. Put tuna, olives, hummus, red onion, in even quarters on top of greens.

  3. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, add lemon and parmesan.

  4. Mix thoroughly and savor!
